children & youth

At 59th Street, we believe it is crucial to teach the Bible to children at a young age, so they will learn to love the Lord and his Word, and continue to follow him as they grow older. We want our children to understand that the Christian life is a life-long adventure of following Jesus.

We have several different opportunities for helping children and youth grow in faith:

  • Children's Church (4 yrs - 4th grade): during the Sunday Morning Worship Service (dismissed before the sermon)
  • Nursery (under 4 yrs): during the Sunday Morning Worship Service
  • "Thrilling Thursdays!" (K-6th grade): Thursdays from 7-8:15 PM during the summer (Bible teaching, crafts, games, songs)
  • Fantastic Fridays: Kids (K-6th grade): Fridays from 7-8:00 PM during the school year (Bible teaching, crafts, games, songs)
  • Fantastic Fridays: Youth (6th-12th grade): Fridays from 8-9:30 PM (Bible teaching and discussion, games and activities)

small groups

We have different opportunities for adults to gather together to study the Bible, share about life, and pray for each other. Our small groups provide a setting for spiritual growth and personal connections.

  • Women's Small Group: Sundays, 5-6:30 PM at a home
  • Tuesday Small Group: Tuesdays, 11 AM - 1 PM at a home
  • Couples & Young Families Group: Selected Saturdays, 5-7 PM at a home
  • Young Men's Group: Selected Wednesdays, 7-9 PM at church

Contact the church for more information about these small groups, including meeting locations for the groups that meet in homes.

college & young adults

Some of the main goals of our College and Young Adult group are to demonstrate the love of Christ which can overcome any earthly division, and to equip people for greater service in the wider church and local community. We meet on Friday nights at 5PM for dinner and then 5:45 PM for Bible study and fellowship.
